Driving Up Taxes

So then, what impact on the motorist is all the Government stuff going to have? Are they going to increase the tax on driving as a way to keep down pollution and keep up income for other things?

It seems an obvious target to increase the tax on fuel. After all, it only takes a very small change to bring in a lot of money. So many people, literally everywhere, rely on driving for nearly everything, with millions, if not hundreds of millions of litres of fuel being bought each year, it would not take very long to bring in a few million pounds more in the year.

Terrible Twos Tantrums

As I write, my little girl is throwing a tantrum! You may want to think twice about taking advice from me, or, on the other hand you may find it comforting that somebody else is in the same position as yourself.

I thought that we had escaped the terrible 2s, and to some extent even refuse to say that there even is such a thing.

Our little girl is just over 2 and a half years old, and, in general, is a really great little girl. She is really gentle, kind and sensitive. She will always be polite and say please and thank you. But in this past 2 days has had complete meltdown at anything, throwing things, hitting (has never hit anyone before) and generally refusing to do anything that she is told to do.

How are we dealing with it?

We are not against smacking should all else fail, but also have a space at the front door where she is put for time out. She has to remain there for 2 to 3 minutes until she has calmed down and or has been disciplined for whatever she has done wrong.
